Education & Training
Ashley Deck is the owner of Madam Clutterbucket’s Neurodiverse Universe in downtown Asheville. She, along with her daughter and son, started the business in 2021.
Ashley has a Bachelor’s of Social Work, a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education, and Master’s Degree in Special Education Administration. Ashley was also a founding member of a public middle and high school charter school that was designed specifically for students with autism.
Ashley and her children decided to open the store because of personal experience with the limitations of workplace opportunities for neurodivergent adults. Madam Clutterbucket’s Neurodiverse Universe was created to show other business owners that neurodiversity and disability can be valuable strengths in the workforce. They strive to demonstrate by example that people with disabilities can be an essential and valuable members of any workplace.
