"Diversity only becomes effective when it leaves our conversations, and is instead a fundamental part of our lives. In a lot of ways, this implementation can start with the way we raise our children. A diverse mindset stems from genuine thoughtfulness, and this thoughtfulness comes from an open imagination and awareness of others.” Tru-Colour”
About Me:
Education & Training
I’ve had the privilege of working in this community for nearly 20 years. Currently, I serve as the Director of Family and Community Partnerships at Verner Center for Early Learning, where I work closely with young children and their families. I’m passionate about giving back and am honored to serve on the board for SERVE, as well as with Food Connection and various committees, including Blue Ridge First In Families, Buncombe County Partnership for Children, Warren Wilson Community Engagement, and BEACON. In addition, I am proud to be an ambassador for TruColour, collaborating with schools and the healthcare system to promote diversity in healing. It’s truly an honor to support SERVE and contribute to this wonderful community!
